Full Story:Shanker a Delhite finds the city uncomfortable and so also Varanasi where he studied. Homesick,he leaves for his hometown Karnataka. Shanker comes to Bangadi. There he meets his grandpa's sister. He takes to farming. Builds a dam to solve the water problem and takes steps to develop the village. Shanker is delighted in seeing the fruit of his labour. Then starts Shanbog?s jealousy towards Shanker while Shanbog?s daughter is in love with the latter. The situation comes when Shanker has to choose his village over his girlfriend. Performance wise in this role Shivraj Kumar has done full justice. Avinash has given a good account. Apt casting has made the job easy for the heroines. T S Naghabharana scores as a director who has shown urban- rural divide. Ananthnag leaves a lasting impression especially in the last scene. Musically three songs are very good. It?s a film that one has to sit back and enjoy.
