Empty handed and a harsh world staring at him,Vijay tackles the various obstacles the world throws up at him. His nomadic travels land him in post-independent Bombay,a city brimming with opportunity. Here,get acquainted with his love Rajnidevi. Being an easy target for wrongdoing,the first to take advantage of his innocence is diamond smuggler Raja Babu. He hides an expensive diamond in Vijay's pocket. Vijay is now in the middle of a cat and mouse game where the smugglers and his associates want to retrieve the valuable jewel from him.
