Full Story:The eponymous Raja Babu is a happy-go-lucky orphan boy who goes about his simple life,along with his friend and sidekick Nandu. Raja's impoverished childhood quickly distanced him when he was raised by a wealthy rural couple. Despite his evident lack of sophistication,his kindhearted nature wins people over. One such smitten kitten is the city-bred Madhubala,who falls for Raja's uncomplicated musings. Thus starts the duo's love story. Over the course of time though,Madhu comes to terms with how myopic Raja's worldview is and his lack of urbaneness unflatteringly dons on her. When Raja's father Kishan Singh approaches Madhu's family for her hand,Madhu,in a fit of frustration,humiliates Kishan Singh and rejects their offer in front of the entire village,thereby burning Raja and his family's high repute in ashes. A battle for pride ensues between the lovers and their respective families as they move farther and farther away from reconciliation.
