Alicia Silverstone's One-Scene Performance Is the Best Part of This Horror Movie

Could this star’s new thing be scary movies? The name of the person who plays is Alicia Silverstone. It makes “The Lodge” even more sad. The Lodge looks like a standard “haunted cabin in a storm” horror movie at first glance. But it’s pretty clear right away that this is a very different kind of horror movie.

This is because it looks closely at the long-term effects of loss and any mental illness that may come from it. The simple idea of The Lodge is used to put the characters in their own worlds, but directors Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala had to set up the right place first. At this point, Silverstone stepped in and added one of the scariest jump scares I’ve seen in a long time.

In the 1990s, Alicia Silverstone was a very well-known comedian. All of Silverstone’s works, from Clueless to Blast from the Past, were full of love and happiness because of who she was. Even though Silverstone’s string of hits in that decade brought back a lot of good times, she didn’t get many big parts in the next ten years.

Even though it was sad to see her go, Silverstone came back in a shocking project that had nothing to do with the movies she is best known for. Silverstone gave a performance that people will remember for a long time in the scary horror movie The Lodge, which came out in 2020.

Even though Silverstone was only in one scene, she gave the viewers goosebumps that stayed with them for the rest of the movie.

In The Lodge, Richard Hall (Richard Armitage), a single father, tries to introduce his young kids, Mia (Lia McHugh) and Aiden (Jaeden Martell), to his new girlfriend, Grace Marshall (Riley Keough). Grace is nervous about spending time with Mia and Aiden because when she was younger, she was in a suicide death cult, which was very stressful for her.

The kids are also worried because they have learned to be careful around any new “motherly” figure. The movie slowly shows Mia and Aiden how much they know about Grace’s past, but it’s clear why the kids are always scared. At the beginning of the movie, we see that their mother, Laura, played by Silverstone, killed herself.
