The Plot of All the Light We Cannot See
The story takes place during World War II. Marie-Laure, a blind character from the book, has sought safety in her uncle’s home in Nazi-occupied France since she was six years old. The Nazis have closed the town’s gate, preventing residents from escaping as the Allies attack Saint-Malo.
Marie-Laure stays hidden away by herself in her family’s home and talks to her father and uncle each night on the radio. Although she has no means of knowing for sure, she hopes that they are somewhere out there listening. As the story goes on, we find out how Marie-Laure and her father left Paris and ended up alone in Saint-Malo.
We also hear that a Nazi gemologist is after the unfortunate child because he thinks her father gave her the Sea of Flames, a very costly diamond that may even be magical. The book also tells Werner’s narrative, a little boy. Werner, a technological prodigy, was enlisted in Hitler’s army due to his proficiency with the radio.
In the Nazi army, it is his responsibility to locate and alert his officers to unauthorized transmissions. It’s clear right away that these two are going to become entangled. The tale contains far larger concepts that dramatically expand the scope of the narrative despite the fact that the story is quite specific and driven by its characters. Anyone who has read the book is instantly a fan. Everyone who reads it is captivated by the story.
