Full Story:"Two boys and a girl meet on a seemingly regular Friday evening in Mika Kaurismäki's prophetic sci-fi venture. The setting is clearly urban and safe Helsinki. But the period is a lot less clear and certain - it's chaos in some post-disaster time. The boys' sole purpose in life is playing pinpall. The machine is a means to escape from what the world has to offer. Call it private rebellion,if you will... But all good things must come to an end,or that's what they say. Can one block the world out,with just a pinball machine? Do boys need to grow up to be men? Do any of these questions need an answer? Jackpot 2 was the winner of the Best Fiction Award at the 1984 Tampere International Short Film Festival."
