Synopsis

Full Story:Harry Baweja's Qayamat,inspired from the Hollywood blockbuster The Rock,deals with a lover-turned-criminal,a scientist,three psycho criminals and an honest CBI officer. Ali (Arbaaz),Abbas (Sanjay Kapoor) and Laila (Isha Koppikar) are the biggest arms dealers in India who aim at making money and migrating to Pakistan where they will be treated as demi-gods if they mastermind and effect destruction in India. Their target is Mumbai. The three take over an old prison,which is now a tourist spot,kidnap 213 passengers and hold entire Mumbai for ransom with their weapons of mass destruction. However,one man Akram Sheikh (Suneil Shetty) decides to counter their attack. He seeks the help of a criminal who has been booked for murder. Rachit (Ajay Devgan) has been charged with murder. He is in jail for having murdered a man who was the reason for his beloved Sapna?s (Neha Dhupia) death. Rahul (Aashish Chowdhary),a scientist who has managed to discover the way to defuse the virus that the criminals possess,also comes to the help of Akram Sheikh. Thus starts a desperate attempt to save the 213 people,who are held hostages by the criminals,and the whole city Mumbai.
