Full Story:Following the death of their father Vrindavan,the duty of keeping the family's musical culture alive lie in the hands of siblings Mansi and Bansi. Being envious of her sister's talent,Mansi marries her to an alcoholic. With the help of music director Indraneil,Mansi has an escalating career. Bansi's marital problems worsen despite bearing a girl child. Defeated,she walks out of her marriage and returns to live with her sister. When Bansi is invited to sing in a concert,her talent is brought under the limelight. She proceeds to elope with her sister's mentor Indraneil and have a flourishing career of her own,at the expense of increasing the sibling rivalry. Additionally,Bansi's daughter grows to carry on the family's musical tradition and invites additional problems of her own.
