Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date

Bridgerton Season 3 is already filled with tremendous expectations, after a fantastic second season.

A family in the Regency-era London setting of Chris Van Dusen’s Netflix original series Bridgerton centered around the social season when the youth of aristocracy are introduced to society.

On December 25, 2020, Bridgerton made its streaming service debut. It was renewed for a second season in January 2021, and the next season debuted on March 25, 2022.

Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date: When Will It Come Out?

Netflix decided to revive Bridgerton for a third and fourth season in April 2021.

Shonda Rhimes, the executive producer of Bridgerton, released a formal statement in response to the news of the show’s renewal, praising the two-season order as a “strong vote of confidence in [their] work:”

Netflix announced the start of filming for Bridgerton Season 3 with a brief teaser trailer that featured Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan working together on set. Production for Season 3 of Bridgerton began in July 2022.

During filming, rumors surfaced that producer Shonda Rhimes was dissatisfied with parts of the Season 3 plots, and there were even suspicions that filming had been postponed. Netflix, on the other hand, refuted those reports in January 2023.

Season 3 is still being produced, as evidenced by the new set of photographs that Metro UK published in January.

Newton and Coughlan shared a picture on Instagram to mark the completion of filming for Bridgerton Season 3 in March 2023.

Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date

Netflix eventually unveiled the first glimpses at Season 3 during the TUDUM event in June 2023, even though it has not yet made an official release announcement. They featured Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, who had been her longtime crush.

Netflix just launched the Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte in May 2023, so it’s probable that extra time will be needed to fill the time between the premiere of the prior show and Season 3.

Interestingly, Netflix Portugal erased a social media post that claimed Bridgerton Season 3 would debut on December 14.

We’ll have to wait and see if the release date is set in stone or not. But given that Season 1 was also published in December 2020, a December launch makes it reasonable.

Phoebe Dynevor, who played the title role in Season 1 of Daphne, the Duchess of Hastings, told Collider in January 2023 that she would not be appearing in Season 3

Will Simon Be In Bridgerton Season 3?

In Bridgerton Season 1, Regé-Jean Page played Simon Bassett with consummate skill. The story of the first season was led by the Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor.

Simon, though, didn’t show up at all in Season 2. This is understandable given that the second season of the program adopted the plot of The Viscount Who Loved Me, a novel about Anthony Bridgerton’s search for a bride.

Regé-Jean Page is also anticipated to make a comeback as Simon in Season 4 given that Dynevor has already confirmed her absence in Season 3.

What Will Happen in Bridgerton Season 3?

Shonda Rhimes, the executive producer of Bridgerton, stated to Entertainment Tonight in March 2023 that they are “definitely planning” to concentrate on the romantic tales of the Bridgerton siblings. This statement left everyone speculating as to whether Penelope and Colin’s love story would be the following.

Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date

The third season will be focused on the pair’s developing love story, as Nicole Coughlan said during Netflix’s TUDUM event in June 2023, hinting that “book fans are going to be happy:”
