Upcoming American adult animated dark fantasy action streaming television series Castlevania: Nocturne is directed by Sam Deats, created and written by Clive Bradley. It is a spin-off of the animated Castlevania series and is based on the Konami video game franchise of the same name. It was adapted from the 1993 title Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its follow-up Symphony of the Night.
The series centered on Richter Belmont, a member of the vampire-hunting Belmont family, and is set in 1792, during the French Revolution. The Netflix release of Castlevania: Nocturne is planned for September. Its trailer was also released on 27 July 2023.

Castlevania: Nocturne will be available for streaming on 28 September 2023, despite the fact that the series was formally announced in 2022. Both series of the show will be only available on Netflix and are based on a similar Konami video game franchise.

The Plot of Castlevania: Nocturne Season 1
In the middle of the French Revolution, people from the so-called lower classes are rising up to fight against injustice. “It’s the natural order for them to milk us dry with impossible rents and unpayable taxes,” says Maria, a young leader. At the same time, Richter Belmont feels a much worse and more dangerous threat.
He has taken up his family’s long-standing practice of hunting vampires. This is a job that has been around almost as long as vampires have lived, which is to say, forever. But what he’s seeing now is unlike anything he’s ever seen before.
Could the sudden rise in vampire activity have something to do with the death of his mother? And what’s the deal with this claimed news of a vampire messiah? Richter teams up with Maria and a group of people who don’t seem to go together, but whose tough exteriors hide painful pasts.
Using their impressive ability to change form, they try to stop the vampire messiah from taking over the world. As each vampire hunter is forced to face their own difficult and deeply human traumatic past, their last-ditch effort to save humanity raises existential questions. And since the vampires want to leave the world in darkness for all time, there’s no time to waste, and there’s a lot of dark action to see.
Imagine magical attacks and beautifully animated fights that take place in dark churches, cobblestone alleys, and blue-black night skies. Of course, the famous Belmont whip will also make an appearance.
