Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 34, the movie “Gadar 2,” featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has seen a decline in its box office performance. However, the battle to outdo the year’s highest-grossing film, “Pathaan,” is still ongoing.
“Gadar 2” has slowed down after a month of dominating the box office. On the most recent Wednesday, it earned an estimated Rs 51 lakh, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, bringing its total earnings to Rs 516.59 crore.
This decline in “Gadar 2” collections can be attributed to the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan” on September 7. “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, received an excellent response from both critics and audiences, creating stiff competition for “Gadar 2.”
Despite facing competition from three other Hindi releases, namely “OMG 2,” “Ghoomer,” and “Dream Girl 2,” “Gadar 2” managed to cross the Rs 500 crore mark before facing the challenge of “Jawan.” Now, it aims to surpass the lifetime earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan,” which currently holds the record as the highest-grossing Bollywood film with Rs 543.05 crore (domestic net earnings).
Although “Gadar 2” is nearly Rs 27 crore short of achieving “Pathaan’s” record, it’s still within reach. However, it’s worth noting that even if “Gadar 2” manages to surpass “Pathaan,” its reign as the highest-grossing film may be short-lived, as “Jawan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, is expected to exceed both films and achieve an impressive Rs 550 crore in Hindi net earnings, according to early trade estimates.
In the coming month of September, both “Gadar 2” and “Jawan” are likely to enjoy a relatively uncompetitive environment, as the only major film scheduled for release is the comedy franchise “Fukrey 3.” Additionally, films like “The Great Indian Family” starring Vicky Kaushal, “Sukhee” featuring Shilpa Shetty, and “The Vaccine War” directed by Vivek Agnihotri are set to hit theaters.
