Gwyneth Paltrow gives very Gwyneth Paltrow reason for not doing more Marvel movies: 'I'm just sitting here'

Gwyneth Paltrow talks about why she left the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame. Throughout the 11 years of the Infinity Saga, the actor was always there as Tony Stark’s smart secretary and later girlfriend, Pepper Potts. When Iron Man came out, he joined the MCU.

Fans have been wondering why Paltrow hasn’t been in any MCU movies since the show stopped in 2019. On Instagram, Paltrow clearly answers the question of why she left the MCU. She says that Pepper is no longer needed in the Avengers series because Iron Man died in Avengers: Endgame.

Why Gwyneth Paltrow’s Limited Marvel Movie Appearances?

Gwyneth Paltrow just wants to take a seat and relax. During a question-and-answer session on Instagram, the Oscar-winning actress talked about why she hasn’t played Pepper Potts, Iron Man’s love interest, since Avengers: Endgame. After someone asked her the usual question about Marvel, she did this.

One fan wrote, “I ask you this question every time: Why did you stop working with Marvel, and do you miss DJ?” He was also talking about Robert Downey, Jr., who was in the movie. “Iron Man died, so we just stopped doing it,” Paltrow said in an honest way.

“And if you don’t have Iron Man, why do you need Pepper Potts? I’m not sure. Don’t treat me badly. Tell Marvel they’re wrong by calling them. I’m just here sitting.”

Paltrow has been in a number of Marvel movies, including several Iron Man flicks starting in 2008. But her link to the world of superheroes has taken on a life of its own. When Iron Man died, the “Infinity Saga” of the MCU came to an end. Now, Marvel Studios is getting ready for “The Multiverse Saga,” the next story that will end in a big way.

Sad as it was, Stark’s death might have been the best way to get rid of him. Even though it meant losing his family, giving up his life for the greater good was a great way to end his 11-year story arc in the MCU. But just because the character is dead now doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be in the story at all.
