The American criminal drama series Snowfall was developed by John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron. The American television network FX aired the series. Six seasons of Snowfall spanned from July 5, 2017, to April 19, 2023, for a total of 60 episodes. After being developed at Showtime in 2014, the series was picked up by FX for ten episodes in September 2016.
Snowfall was picked up for a second season by the network in August 2017, and the new season debuted on July 19, 2018. The show’s third season was announced in September 2018 and premiered on July 10, 2019. On February 24, 2021, the premiere of Season 4 aired.
FX ordered a fifth season of the show in March 2021, and it debuted on February 23, 2022. The sixth season of the FX series premiered on February 22, 2023, after being renewed in April 2022.

The Plot
The events of Snowfall take place in south central Los Angeles and chart the onset of the crack cocaine epidemic, illustrating the devastation it wrought on the area. In the pilot episode of the BBC Three series, Franklin tries to make a legitimate job but quits up when he discovers that the “game’s rigged.” He then meets drug kingpin Avi, who challenges him to sell a block of cocaine within 24 hours.
In an effort to expand his empire, Franklin enlists the help of his best buddy Leon as well as his uncle Jerome and aunt Louie at the beginning of Snowfall, to the detriment of all involved. While this is going on, CIA agent Teddy McDonald is conducting a covert operation involving the sale of illegal drugs to finance the purchase of weapons for use in the Nicaraguan conflict.
The Mexican cartel, who are already in control of the market, treats Franklin and Teddy’s new business efforts with extreme skepticism. Here we meet Lucia Villanueva, the daughter of a drug cartel leader, and Gustavo ‘El Oso’ Zapata, a Mexican wrestler with his own ideas about how things should be done.
