Showtime Series ‘Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber’ Heads to Netflix in October 2023

The popular Showtime series Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, which is based on Mike Isaac’s book of the same name, can now be seen on Netflix US. The show was made by Brian Koppelman and David Levien. They also worked on Billions and Ocean’s Thirteen.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt played Travis Kalanick, the CEO of Uber. The first episode of Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber played on Showtime in February 2022. The site Paramount+ put on the show. But Netflix had to cut a lot of shows to save money, so soon it will be available to people in the US.

In the last ten years, Netflix has shown a lot of Showtime shows, like Dexter, Episodes, The L Word, Weeds, and the US version of Shameless, which was a big hit.

But there aren’t as many of Showtime’s newer shows on Netflix as there used to be. The only exceptions are the movie The Comey Rule, which is about Donald Trump and the FBI, and the Showtime Networks show Ripley, which will only be available on Netflix all over the world.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt played Travis Kalanick, the CEO of Uber. Other big stars in the show’s cast included Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Kerry Bishé (Halt and Catch Fire), Babak Tafti (Fraud), Elisabeth Shue (Cobra Kai), Uma Thurman, Quentin Tarantino, and Quentin Tarantino.

The show was liked by most people. CNN’s Brian Lowry said that the show “doesn’t break much new ground,” but that it gives “an interesting snapshot of one particularly flashy example of the move-fast, break-stuff mentality” and gives Gordon-Levitt and Chandler a lot of chances to stand out.

Early in 2022, the first network to show the show was Showtime. In the US, Paramount+ showed it for a while. But this show wasn’t the only one that was taken off the site to save money.

Netflix has been buying shows from Showtime and its parent business, Paramount Global, for a long time. In the United States in the 2010s, Netflix had a lot of old Showtime shows. You might have seen shows like Dexter, Shameless, Episodes, The L Word, and Weeds at some point.

Only a few new Showtime shows, like The Comey Rule, which came out in September 2021, have been added to Netflix in the past few years. Netflix also bought Ripley from Showtime Networks. Only Netflix will have it everywhere in the world.

You may already know that the show will come back for a second season in February 2022. In the second season, the business will be Facebook. In The Social Network, David Fincher did the same thing. When the book came out, it wasn’t clear where they would film the next season. Since Paramount+ took it off, it seems like nobody knows what will happen to it.
