The Fall of the House of Usher is the fifth movie that Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy have worked on together for Netflix as part of Intrepid Pictures. Intrepid also made two other series besides the two Haunting anthology series: Midnight Mass (2021), which was praised by critics, and The Midnight Club (2022), which just ended.

Four of the eight parts of the eight-part miniseries will be directed by Flanagan and Michael Fimognari. The project will also have Trevor Macy, Emmy Grinwis, and Fimognari as associate producers.
