Jawan Box Office Collection Day 36: Shah Rukh Khan’s Movie Jawan Gains Big on Day 36 with Discounted Tickets
As Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Jawan, enters its sixth weekend in theaters, it’s making a final push to boost its box office earnings. On Friday, it’s National Cinema Day, and tickets for all movies at select theaters will be sold for just Rs 99 each.
On the 36th day since its release, Jawan, the action-packed drama, earned approximately Rs 80 lakh across all languages in India. This pushed its total domestic earnings to Rs 627.4 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
Previously, there were expectations that the film would earn over Rs 1 crore each day this week. However, updated figures show that the film has been making just under Rs 1 crore since Monday when it earned Rs 94 lakh.
On both Tuesday and Wednesday, Jawan added Rs 88 lakh to its earnings. The majority of its collections at this point come from the Hindi-language version of the film.
Directed by Atlee, Jawan was intended to be Shah Rukh’s first pan-India film, with significant releases in the Tamil and Telugu-language markets as well.
These versions of the film have grossed a total of about Rs 60 crore. To generate more interest in the South of the country, Atlee also cast Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles, and Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment hosted a grand audio launch event – a common practice in South Indian publicity tours – before the film’s release.
Throughout its run, Jawan shattered multiple box office records. It became the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever, surpassing Shah Rukh’s own Pathaan, which ended with earnings of Rs 543 crore.

Jawan also surpassed Pathaan to claim records for the biggest opening day, opening weekend, and opening week in Bollywood’s history. Currently, it’s the second-highest-grossing Hindi film worldwide, trailing only Dangal, and ranks as the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film overall, behind KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and Dangal.
Shah Rukh Khan is now looking forward to his third and final film of the year, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, scheduled for release around Christmas.
