Jawan Box Office Collection Day 37: On the 37th day of its release, the movie Jawan, directed by Atlee, had a remarkable upswing in its box office earnings. The film has now accumulated a total of 632 crore rupees.
Just when it appeared that the Shah Rukh Khan-led film Jawan was nearing the end of its theatrical run after being in cinemas for five weeks, National Cinema Day brought a surprising turn of events.
On Friday, October 13th, many multiplexes offered movie tickets for a mere 99 rupees, giving a much-needed boost to various films currently playing.
After consistently earning between 70 to 80 lakhs rupees for nearly four days, Jawan saw an extraordinary surge on the mentioned Friday, amassing an impressive 5 crore rupees, according to market tracker Sacnilk.
The film’s domestic net earnings have now reached 632 crore rupees. On Friday, Jawan boasted a 61.53 percent occupancy rate for Hindi-speaking audiences.
Red Chillies Entertainment has proclaimed that the Atlee-directed film is now the “highest-grossing Hindi movie in the history of cinema.”
The movie, featuring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone in leading roles, has raked in a colossal 1,125 crore rupees globally.
Remarkably, despite the release of new movies such as Mission Raniganj, The Vaccine War, Fukrey 3, and Thank You For Coming, Jawan has maintained its strong presence at the box office.
Fukrey 3 also performed admirably on Friday, collecting 5.25 crore rupees. Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj wasn’t far behind, with earnings of 5 crore rupees.
The success of Jawan has seen it set and break numerous records, many of which were previously held by Shah Rukh Khan’s last film, Pathaan. Pathaan amassed 543 crore rupees in India and 1,043 crore rupees globally.
However, Jawan has surpassed these figures both in India and worldwide. Nonetheless, the top position is still secured by Aamir Khan, whose film Dangal earned more than 2,000 crore rupees, with a significant portion of the earnings coming from China.
The star-studded cast of Jawan also includes Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover, among others. Shah Rukh Khan’s next appearance will be in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, slated for a Christmas release.
