Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie, Jawan, has achieved remarkable success in the year 2023, making it the highest-earning Indian film of the year. Even after several weeks since its release, “Jawan” continues to perform exceptionally well at the box office.
This blockbuster film, directed by Atlee and featuring a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, and Sunil Grover, among others, has managed to cross an astounding ₹1117 crore in global box office earnings as of Sunday.
The official Twitter account of the film’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, announced this milestone on Monday, revealing the precise worldwide gross collections of ₹1117.39 crore.
In a social media post, Red Chillies Entertainment celebrated the ongoing success of “Jawan” by saying, “Another day, another successful streak at the box office. That’s ‘Jawan’ for you.”
Even in its fifth week in theaters, the film shows no signs of slowing down, with new releases having little impact on its impressive box office earnings.
Last week, “Jawan” achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Hindi film in the history of Indian cinema to surpass ₹1100 crores worldwide during its initial run, solidifying its status as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan, who has invested four years of dedication and effort into the making of Jawan, expressed his joy at the film’s success. He said, “It’s a celebration. We rarely get a chance to live with a film for years. The making of ‘Jawan’ has been going on for four years due to Covid and time constraints. There were a lot of people involved in this film, especially people from the South who came and settled in Mumbai and have been living in Mumbai for the last four years and working day and night for this film, which is the hardest work ever.”

Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan has his next project, “Dunki,” lined up for a Christmas release. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featuring Taapsee Pannu alongside Shah Rukh Khan, “Dunki” marks his first collaboration with both the director and Taapsee.
It’s worth noting that “Dunki” is set for a box office showdown with Prabhas’ action thriller film, Salaar.
