Naseeruddin Shah said that he couldn’t watch the movies by SS Rajamouli and Allu Arjun, RRR and Pushpa: The Rise. The actor, who is known for not being afraid to say what he thinks, said that he knows how exciting these kinds of movies can be for the audience. But he can’t be part of the crowd because he doesn’t go to the movies by himself. A few days ago, Naseeruddin said that The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story were not his favorite movies.
“I’m pretty sure because I have a lot of faith in the younger generation,” Naseeruddin told the YouTube channel We Are Yuvaa. I think they are much more grown up, knowledgeable, and smart than we were.” I can’t think of any reason other than getting excited to watch these movies. I really wanted to see RRR, but I couldn’t. I tried to watch Pushpa, but I couldn’t.”
In a recent interview, Naseeruddin Shah said that he doesn’t like how popular films like Kashmir Files are. When We Are Yuvaa asked the actor and director if “the goal of making movies in Bollywood has changed,” he said, “Yes!
The way this country is run now makes it so that the more patriotic you are, the more popular you are. Just loving your country and talking about it all the time is not enough. You also need to think about who you will fight. What these people don’t realize is that what they’re doing is very bad.”
He also said, “I haven’t seen movies like Kerala Story or Gadar 2, but I know what they’re about. Strangely, movies like Kashmir Files are very popular, but movies by Sudhir Mishra, Anubhav Sinha, and Hansal Mehta that try to show the truth of their time don’t get seen. But these moviemakers shouldn’t give up and should keep making movies.”
