Asher HaVon Makes History as The Voice Season 25 Champion

The Voice just wrapped up its 25th season with Asher HaVon emerging as the champion! It was a fierce competition with finalists like Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, Bryan Olesen, and Nathan Chester, but ultimately, Asher claimed the title.

Host Carson Daly couldn’t contain his excitement as he announced Asher’s victory on Tuesday, May 21. This win not only marked a triumph for Asher HaVon but also for Team Reba, as it was her second season coaching on the show.

Asher’s journey to victory wasn’t a straightforward one. In fact, before his blind audition, he hadn’t performed for two years. But when he took the stage with his coach for their rendition of “On My Own,” originally sung by Patti LaBelle and Michael McDonald, he proved he was a force to be reckoned with.

Facing tough competition from his fellow Team Reba member Josh Sanders, as well as Karen Waldrup, Nathan Chester, and Bryan Olesen, Asher’s talent shone through. His blind audition performance of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” earned him a three-chair turn, with Reba McEntire praising his incredible voice and Chance the Rapper lauding his undeniable talent.

In an interview with PEOPLE earlier in the season, Asher attributed his success on the show to staying true to himself. He emphasized the importance of authenticity, always showing up as the fullest version of himself.

It’s a lesson he’s learned through his journey, from his beginnings singing in church to performing for President Barack Obama in Selma in 2015, marking the 50th anniversary of the Selma Montgomery marches.

For Asher HaVon, winning The Voice isn’t just about the title; it’s about staying true to his roots and his passion for music. And with his powerhouse vocals and genuine authenticity, it’s no surprise that he’s now wearing the crown as the season 25 champion.
